DGKK & DEMBE, the annual joint event that emerged from the Workshop of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Kristallwachstum und Kristallzüchtung (DGKK) on Epitaxy of III-V Semiconductors and the German MBE Workshop (DEMBE), will take place in Berlin on December 11-13, 2024, organized by Paul-Drude-Institut für Festkörperelektronik and Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications, Heinrich-Hertz-Institut (HHI).
This event will be a continuation of the series of joint workshops for German-speaking communities working on molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and metal organic vapor phase epitaxy (MOVPE). DGKK and DEMBE had a long history of separate annual workshops until they combined for the first time in Bremen in 2022, and subsequently in Stuttgart in 2023. PDI and HHI are pleased to present the 2024 edition, facilitating continued collaborations and inspiring advancement in the field.
The workshop will comprise of scientific presentations on all topics related to epitaxy of a broad variety of materials classes (not restricted to III-V semiconductors) and an exhibition by industry partners. The goal of the workshop is to foster the exchange of experience and expertise in the German-speaking communities working on epitaxy. Contributions with an emphasis on methodical, technical, and practical aspects of epitaxy are particularly welcome.
In an effort to stimulate lively discussions among all participants we adopt the following presentation format that enables a substantial number of presentations in a single session: All contributed presentations will consist of a short oral presentation (3 min teaser talk) followed by an electronic poster presentation immediately after the oral session. This format ensures at the same time a high visibility of the individual contributions and ample time for a detailed and interactive exchange between presenters and audience.
